I can’t wait for Hellboy II: the Golden Army to be released. Apparently it is expected in cinemas around July the 11 but then again, you never know! Here’s a clip from YouTube to whet your appetite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jbka2zP9Vr8. But then again, maybe it’s just me who’s freaky about such things. Like the Alan Moore graphic novel to film adaptation called Watchmen. Fans of the comic are saying that it’s too big to be made into a movie. They have a point referring to its multi layered storytelling and time shifting narrative. So the task falls to Zack Synder (from the 300 fame). His first job was to do a first cut of the movie which runs a full 3 hours. Definitely unacceptable for movie executives and picture houses. Synder’s only concern was how to edit the film, keeping it within a tolerable time frame and at the same time, be true to the spirit of the Watchmen novels.
