The Wasp Knife Beware PDF Print E-mail
Written by Edina Nasseri

British police are on the lookout for this dangerous £200.00 knife which was designed for killing wild bears and sharks. Senior police officers have been told that this knife kills by injecting a compressed ball of gas into the victim. The gas is capable of snap-freezing tissues and organs around the area of impact.

Better known as the Wasp knife, a needle located at the end of the blade shoots out the frozen ball of gas which immediately increases to the size of roughly a basketball, causing internal organs to fail and eventually death. Which makes me think of the movie ‘No Country for Old Men’ where the bad guy goes around killing people with a cylinder of oxygen (?). And for those who haven’t yet watched the movie yet, I don’t mean that he bashes them on the head with the cylinder either!

The knife [http://www.waspknife.com/] comes with a disclaimer that it can ‘down many of the largest land predators’. The fact that the Metropolitan Police have issued warnings means that the threat is very much a real one.

When this article was published in the Daily Mail, a reader commented that he knows of a ‘copy’ of the weapon being sold in Thailand for £180.00. The vendors demonstrate its effects on dead chickens and pigs. With the amount of trouble police are having with knife crimes and gangs carrying other such small concealable weapons, I am sure this is one nightmare they wish didn’t exist.
