Step off the plane totally refreshed. That’s right, Emirates has installed showers in some of their carriers (the A380’s to be precise). So now you can be snap ready just in case there are a few bored paparazzi hanging about.
I wonder where all the used water goes?
To accommodate all the extra water that will be sloshed about, Emirates will be carrying an extra 1,100 pounds of water. Of course the facility is only for first class passengers, hence the relatively small amount of water. There will also be a traffic light system to notify the person showering that the water is about to automatically switch off. After all, at 43,000 feet off the ground, every one of the 14 first class passengers will only get a maximum of 5 minutes in the luxury cubicle. Heaven forbid if the water goes off when you’ve still got soap suds in your hair. Designed for single usage at any one time, this isn’t something for members of the mile high club, mind you.
